Happy day everyone!!!...I am feeling great, walking tall and ready to face my next challenge. I saw my oncologist this morning....blood counts are good. My next and last chemotherapy treatment is scheduled on February 14th. A MRI will follow about 2 weeks after treatment and then another 2 months after that. We are fighting the good fight ya'll....I am forever grateful for all your prayers.
I came across this passage, (from my sister I think), that I would like to share. I really strive to live this everyday, it doesn't always happen, but this is my goal! ~
"The presence and power of God are with me and within me always. In God, I have the qualities and resources, the strength and courage to take charge of my thoughts and my life. I claim and realize the good in every situation. Blessed with the power to choose how I show up in life, I am confident and courageous every day."
I am sooooo blessed!!

- No one was more shocked than I when the doctor told me on Nov 2, 2009 that I had a brain tumor. Fortunately, it was close to the surface and I had surgery on Nov 4, 2009 to remove what they saw. Unfortunately, it is Gliosarcoma and they weren't able to get it all. I can't begin to tell you the spectrum of emotions that flooded me that week. Me, have brain cancer? Are you kidding me? How unbelievable and un-nerving. Thanks to God's love, I am doing well. I have placed my trust in HIM that he is going to heal me and rid my body of this disease. I am God's child who is a fighter and a winner. HE is carrying me right now as I fight to win this battle! "By his stripes, I am healed." To make it easier to keep my "Healing Support" family (and anyone else interested) updated on my progress of Radiation and Chemo treatments and on my healing journey, this Blog was created. I welcome your posts, words of encouragement; support and most importantly your prayers. I look forward to sharing my healing journey with you. My life has been so blessed with the love and support of everyone that I can't help but feel inspired! Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to make your appointment on Monday with all this crazy weather and I'm sure you're hunkered down today staying warm and safe. I wish you continued good news and a Valentine's gift of a clear MRI on the 14th. I think all this snow signifies a cleansing for all of us, so spring will be brilliant, bursting in color...keep blooming, xox Christy
